- Next were going to Skew that half circle, that means change its shape, to do this go to Edit >> Transform >> Skew. Grab the corner with your mouse and pull it upward, you will begin to see it change shape. Keep pulling until the half circle begins to look like a half heart, like in the picture below.
- Click anywhere on the Tool Bar and you should get a pop up that looks like the image below, click Apply.
- Now you should have half a heart (like below), if you still show a selection, then click CTRL+D to deselect the image.
- Now you will need to duplicate the layer, go to Layers >> Duplicate, your Layers Palette should look like this:
- Now we need to make the other half of the heart, so now go to Edit >> Transform >> Flip Horizontal, now your duplicate layer was flipped to make the other half of the heart.
- Use the Move Tool
and move to the other end to make the full heart, like this:
- Now that you have merge the layers to make it all one, so go to Layers >> Merge Down.
- Okay you now have a pretty heart, but you want to change colors on it right?
- So now go to your Tools Palette and right click on the Layer and go to Blending Options, on the pop up select Color Overlay, you should get a nice shade of Red, like this:
