Text Image
In this tutorial I will show you how to put an image in a text like this.
Open up the image you want to use in the text and minimize it for later use, then open a New Image, whatever color you want the background to be.
- Pick the font you want to use and write some text on the New Image you just opened.
- Now you can add any text effect like drop shadow, border, so when the final image is done you will see that effect. I will do it to the one I am making. I added a 1px black border and a drop shadow.
- Maximize the image you want in your text.
- CTRL+A, select, and CTRL+C to copy the image, then go to your New Image with the TEXT on it, and CTRL+V to Paste it.
- Now your image should be covering the entire Text Layer, if so your on the right track.
- Go to your Layers Palette and you see the area or line between the Graphic Layer and the Text Layer:
- This step may get a little confusing so pay attention. Move your pointer over the line dividing Layer 1 and the layer that says ticklez, or in your case whatever you wrote, it's in the red circle. Once your pointer is right over the line that divides the two layers press CTRL and your pointer will change so pay attention, once it changes *click* on the line, and bam!!! you got your Text Image.
- Go to Layer >> Flatten Image, then Save your work.
- As you can see the Text Effects I added the Drop Shadow and Border are still there, just thought you might like to add that.
