Torn Edges

This seems to be pretty popular layouts having torn edges, looks really cool.

Open up the image you want to use, then copy and paste that image into a new image, make the new image a bit bigger than the one your pasting, or paste where ever you want this torn edge to appear, DO NOT MERGE THE LAYERS.

Next go to your Layers Palette, and at the bottom click on "Add Layer Style" it looks like a little F, then go to "Stroke" and add a 1 pixel black border to that image you pasted. It should look like this:
Click on the Polygonal Lasso Tool now go around the image slowly, clicking and moving your mouse around the image, make sure you come back to the same spot you started to complete and close the area.
Your image should have the area selected like this:
Now go up to Select >> Inverse, you will see like a double selection around the area you of the image.
Finally go up to Edit >> Cut and it will cut out the outer portion, save your image and your done!~
